World Cup – Japan v Costa Rica Preview

Germany were odds-on to beat Japan and certainly had enough chances to seal the win but the Japanese coach made some inspired substitutions which flipped the game on its head. Japan will need to defend better to win this but the attacking threat they showed should see them through.

Costa Rica looked asleep against Spain who didn’t have to get our of 3rd gear to beat them easily. They didn’t register a single shot and only even got 1 card which shows how little fight they put up. They have to be better in this game but lack the quality to trouble the Japan side we saw in the 2nd half vs Germany.
