NAP – My best tip of the day
Exeter 1.25 Blenkinsop (best price 6/5)
Progressive form in recent starts improving for the step up in trip to win at Ludlow on reappearance; followed up with plenty in hand at Southwell last month and looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick now.
An opening mark of just 104 proved to be lenient for BLENKINSOP as he showed a good attitude to get the better of a decent yardstick in Lock’s Corner at Ludlow on return. The pair pulled 12 lengths clear from Tiger Orchid in third so it was a really good effort. The money was down and he followed up at Southwell last time and turned out quickly under a penalty he still looks ahead of the handicapper. Groom De Cotte didn’t run badly when third at Warwick last time and might be the danger if improving back up in trip. Horn Cape was disappointing at Kempton but switched to handicaps he might do better here so not one to entirely rule out. Famous Last Word would only be interesting if heavily punted.

Sandown 1.45 Milan Bridge (best price 13/8)
Promising type who reached a decent level over hurdles winning 3 of his first 4 starts then bumped into a good yardstick on return at Aintree; walked over on intended chase debut but remains a nice prospect.
It was a shame it turned out to be just a walkover for MILAN BRIDGE on chase debut at Ascot but the experience wouldn’t have done him any harm and given his hurdles form he remains an exciting prospect to go chasing with. He has a tongue tie fitted for this and looks the one to beat. Gloire D’Athon won impressively at Huntingdon and backed that up on return winning easily at Worcester. He is up another 7lb but that will make life much tougher. Coastal Path mare Fable won 2 of her first 3 starts over hurdles but was pulled up at Sandown a year ago and hasn’t been seen since so connections will likely know a lot more with this run under her belt. Both Raffle Ticket and Zyon have enough on their plate.
