Race 5 Zia Park 8.48 Wedding Groom (best price 6/5)

Relished the switch to this track to win impressively over C&D last time; still only a 4yo so might still have more to come and if in similar form tonight looks the most likely winner in this field; sure to go close.

The way WEDDING GROOM drew off over track and trip last time was impressive and this doesn’t look a great deal tougher. If he is in similar form he should be able to follow up. He seemed happy to push forward last time so no surprise to see him aggressive here. Big Event won his first two starts of the season before trying to come from way back over C&D on penultimate start but failed to back that up albeit in stronger company than this last time. If he bounces back he might be the danger but the fav could already be away and gone by the time he gets going. The Right Stuff was behind the latter last time but he could build on that and may well fare best of the rest in a race lacking strength in depth.

Race 8 Mahoning Valley 9.01 Chanel Spirit (best price 5/4)

Left previous form behind getting within a length of victory over C&D last month; obviously remains open to further improvement after just the four starts so looks the most likely winner in here.

Great chance for CHANEL SPIRIT to go one better. She stepped forward on previous form to reverse placings with Seeyouinmotown and she should keep improving for a while yet. She will likely push forward and try to make all tonight. Seeyouinmotown could also have a bright enough future and if improving might emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Neechi was behind the latter on debut but that was still a decent effort first time out so she is another one to note. Savesomeforme struggled last time but will prove she is better than that in time. Probably needs more experience though so best watched. Emerson Jones has ground to make up with a few of these so looks up against it.
