Unbeaten on this surface and 4 from 5 overall so hard to oppose here with further improvement to come; allowed to ease down at the finish last time; should bounce out and try and make all here.

There is some really good racing Stateside on Saturday night and I’m looking forward to seeing POULIN IN O T at Woodbine. He has won 4 from 5 overall now and is still unbeaten on this surface having won a $100K contest eased down last time. This requires another step up and will be the toughest field he has faced but he has scope to keep improving and should have the required gears to win this. He’ll go hard off the front and I’m not sure much in here is going to be able to live with him. Paramount Prince bolted up on debut and looks a nice prospect but he lacks experience and has been somewhat thrown into the deep end here. Might still be good enough to finish second though so still respected.

Race 9 Gulfstream Park 9.24 English Painter (best price 2/1)

Likeable colt who left his debut run miles behind to stay on strongly and get up late when last seen in October; can improve again now the penny has dropped and looks well placed to follow up against these.

I thought ENGLISH PAINTER always travelled like the winner before edging ahead by a nose to open his account last time. The penny seems to have dropped now and I think he is well placed to make it 2 from 3 at Gulfstream tonight. Hopefully he gets a good pace to run down as that will see him produce his best at the finish. Unified Weekend looked promising winning easily on debut but this is a step up on that and he also needs to prove his effectiveness on turf now. Still remains a nice enough prospect though so respected. Nova Folha improved on his debut run to win here last time and is also feared but will likely need to improve on that again. Afy Kid had a rough race last time so has a squeak.
