Race 8 Aqueduct 8.43 Somelikeithotbrown (best price 13/8)

Likeable type who really impressed when last on dirt winning by 6 lengths at Saratoga back in the summer; followed up on turf and then came up short in Grade 1 company last time; should be hard to beat.

The way SOMELIKEITHOTBROWN won on dirt earlier in the season was impressive and while he disappointed last time he is well placed here to bounce back. He should get a good pace to run down but if he has to go forward he can do as he showed on penultimate start. My Boy Tate is probably the danger as he won nicely last time but is unlikely to improve. If he repeats that he won’t be far away so definitely respected. Bankit was 6 lengths behind the selection last time and hard to see him closing that gap let alone reversing the form. Ocala Dream was in good form earlier in the season but has gone off the boil somewhat in recent starts so needs more to land a blow tonight.

Race 7 Del Mar 11.30 Regal Glory (best price 7/4)

Tough mare who won 4 in a row earlier in the season and had excuses when down the field in the Breeders’ Cup last time; this easier and fully expected to bounce back so worth siding with against these.

A multiple Grade 1 winner earlier in the season I expect REGAL GLORY to bounce back tonight. She had excuses in the Breeders’ Cup a prior to that ran a massive race when second to In Italian. Her form stacks up and at her best she will have too much for this field. Hamwood Flier is unexposed and impressed winning at Santa Anita last time. She has now won 3 of her last 4 so looks the danger but obviously this is her toughest assignment to date so she’ll need to improve again to be a factor here. Pizza Bianca stayed on well for second last time and is building on that again would also have to enter calculations. Avenue de France also has a squeak but needs to bounce back.
