Not the semi-final we expected Croatia stunning Brazil late on in the quarter final. Argentina didn’t make it easy on themselves in the last game either and it will be interesting to see how extra-time in both games effects both sides here. You will be pleased to know we have another card happy referee for this game as well which makes it even more interesting.

Argentina v Croatia

Argentina have played well since the loss to Saudi Arabia without necesessarly wowing us. Wins against Mexico and Poland read well going into this and they should have put the game to bed against the Netherlands. They will fancy their chances against Croatia as they are creating plenty and scoring a couple of goals per game.

Croatia are in a semi-final by winning just 1 game (4-1 win vs Canada). They aren’t great to watch as they show limited attacking intent and could have easily gone out in their last 3 games with 2 decided by shootouts and Belgium missed 4/5 big chances to send them out at the group stage. They are an ageing side and look fairly leggy and it might catch up with them here.
