Race 9 Remington Park 2.52 Olivia Twist (best price 9/4)

Exciting filly who created a big impression winning comfortably on debut and then blew rivals away over track and trip last time, powering away by 15 lengths; sure to improve again and well placed to land the hat-trick.

The unbeaten OLIVIA TWIST looks worth the wait on Saturday/ Sunday morning. She is a filly improving fast judging by the way she cleared right away last time. She relished the step up to a mile on that occasion and has plenty more to come if needed. Doudoudouwanadance is 3-3 herself and also looks to have a bright future. She is the obvious danger to the section but will struggle to contain her early judging by what the clock is suggesting. Jokes On Blue was 15 lengths behind the selection in second last time so has plenty of work on. Faith Alone beat Bonnieview to make it 2 from 3 last time and might be best of the rest but she needs to improve again to get involved.

Race 6 Gulfstream Park 7.39 Beside Herself (best price 11/8)

Promising filly who looked progressive before being pitched into graded company the last twice; tough ask last time so that run best forgiven; won nicely in a better race than this 3 starts back so definitely the one to beat.

I have this between BESIDE HERSELF and Flying Fortress and I’m keen to side with the former. She is still armed with potential and if you can forgive her run last time in a Grade 3 at Keeneland then she would be odds-on for this. She has won better races than this and is expected to take full advantage of the return to calmer waters. Flying Fortress had won 2 of her last 3 before disappointing last time. She did fade quite badly late but if bouncing back will be the danger. Lisheen ran on well for second last time but she is going to struggle to keep tabs on the leaders here. If she is within range turning in she has a squeak but you’d think this might be happening too quickly for her again.
