NAP – My best tip of the day
Kelso 3.20 Phillapa Sue (best price 9/4)
Improving mare who still looked a little rough around the edges before going clear to win readily at Hereford on reappearance 5 weeks ago; up 8lb but should be plenty more to come so good chance to follow up.
I loved the way PHILLAPA SUE travelled into it under Kielan Woods at Hereford before asserting. She still ran about a bit at the last so I think she will improve again from that. I know she is a 7yo now but she is lightly raced for her age so is open to further progress. An 8lb rise seems fair and I think she can follow up. Missed Tee would have been a threat but she has been withdrawn this morning. Corey’s Courage was fifth behind the selection on return last time so has ground to make up. Might get closer but hard to see her reversing that from the way she finished. Millarville will also strip fitter but has enough to find too. Arcandy has been nibbled at but clearly isn’t the most straightforward.

Southwell 6.00 Twilight Madness (best price 3/1)
Progressive colt who completed a hat-trick of wins over this C&D last time, travelling strongly before asserting; turned out quickly under a penalty but not done improving yet so fully expected to go in again.
The drop back to the minimum has been the making of TWILIGHT MADNESS and he continues to impress. He has looked better than ever over this track and trip and even carrying a penalty I expect him to go in again and bring up the four-timer. He carries top weight here but that is with good reason. Hiya Maite is also thriving on his racing and has won 2 of his last 3 so looks the obvious danger. The market is usually revealing to his chance so if he is heavily backed that would be a bit concerning but ultimately I just think the selection is the more progressive of the pair. Stone Of Destiny was half a length second to the selection last time and has to enter calculations on that form.
