Bolted up on penultimate start and only missed a head last time; remains unexposed and back on turf here should still be open to further improvement; obvious chance eased in grade.

Great chance for NORTH CAROLINA to make it 2 wins from his last 3. He was impressive on penultimate start and only missed narrowly last time. With further progress to come back on turf he should give a beating to these. Van Dusen won on reappearance but hasn't backed that up since and while he is probably the danger after just 7 starts he will need to do better than what he showed last time if he is to give the selection a race. The Skipster has some decent form to his name but will need to bring his best to get involved. Smart As Me improved from his debut run to win last time and is best of the race but this has more strength in depth so will definitely test his credentials.

Progressive filly who won unchallenged on penultimate start and got going too late in a better race than this last time; can improve again and looks well placed here to get back to winning ways.

With 3 wins from her last 6 starts ARDIS should be tough to beat at Santa Anita on Friday night. She was only beaten 3 lengths into second last time and that came in a stronger race than this. She was an easy winner before that and under aggressive tactics here she should take plenty of catching. Rain Diva won on penultimate start but was heavily beaten last time and has a bit to prove following that. If bouncing back she would have a chance but perhaps best watched for now. Righteously was behind Tizzy Twister last time but might be capable of reversing that form tonight. The latter was behind the selection last time though so on collateral form they are seemingly up against it.
