The Australian Open is underway and we saw some star performances from the likes of Sinner and Medvedev. After a shaky start Norrie assumed command and came through in straight sets too. Aliassime was forced to come from behind to beat Pospisil and needed two tie-breaks to do so. Harris knocked out Musetti in an epic five-setter which went to a deciding tie-break. Nadal came through an early test against Draper winning 3-1 but Coric wasn’t so lucky suffering a shock 3 set to love defeat to Lehecka.
On the women’s side Collins was brave to edge out Kalinskaya. Andreescu, Pegula, Raducanu, Gauff, Sakkari, Ostapenko, and Kvitova all won 2 sets to love so not too many upsets.
My Value Tip went 5/5 too with Kostyuk knocking out Anisimova convincingly. Tons more to come overnight and I can’t wait for it to get underway!
