Saturday’s American Horse Racing Tips
Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and I’ve covered SEVEN meetings and picked out my best bets.
CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WONDER WHEEL IN AMERICA TONIGHT! Graded racing Stateside to get stuck into from Tampa, Aqueduct and Golden Gate Fields. My Daily Double pays 10/3!
Progressive filly who has won 4 of her 5 starts to date and really hit top gear late to swoop home best and win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies when last seen back in November; obviously open to further improvement and is hard to oppose.
Really good racing in America on Saturday night and I'm looking forward to seeing WONDER WHEEL in the Suncoast Stakes at Tampa. This filly looks quite exciting and was way too good for her rivals at the Breeders' Cup when last seen. She is open to improvement after just a handful of starts and should have the gears to see off this field in the closing stages. Julia Shining is a perfect 2-2 and looks a nice filly too but she lacks experience and might struggle to hold off the favourite late. Of those at bigger prices Opus Forty Two has won 2 from 4 and impressed edging out Charlie's Wish by a nose last time so might be the one to back for a place in here if you can get decent odds. The latter also has a bright enough future but this looks a really hot race so up against it once more.
Likeable mare who had no problem bringing up a hat-trick of wins over 7f here last month; clearly at the top of her game right now and with the step back up to a mile posing no issues whatsoever she is expected to be hard to beat once more.
I'm struggling to look past MELTING SNOW at Aqueduct on Friday night. She hacked up over C&D back in December and has won twice since over 7f so is clearly thriving. She was nicely on top last time finding plenty for pressure and looks the most likely winner once more. My Sweet Wife has won 3 of her last 4 and is the obvious danger if she gets the gaps when needed. She likes to be ridden quietly and then come late but as you saw on penultimate start that doesn't always work out. Mia Bea Star won impressively on penultimate start and in a better race than this but was beaten 2 lengths last time and needs to get back to her best to have a chance in here. It is a shame there are only 7 runners as I thought Amity Island looked a huge each way player on the pick of some of her form.
