NAP – My best tip of the day
Kempton 8.30 Perfect Gentleman (best price 6/4)
Promising son of Dawn Approach who won despite being slowly away over a mile here at the start of the month; up just 3lb and with this step up in trip firmly in his favour he should have a great chance to follow up.
The money was down for PERFECT GENTLEMAN on handicap debut here last time and he made no mistake despite fluffing his lines leaving the stalls. He was benefitted by them going a good gallop and came swooping late but it was still quite an impressive performance. That form looks solid too and with this step up in trip a catalyst for further improvement I think he should be able to follow up under Danny Muscutt. The Pug is a tricky horse to catch right but he really was quite a convincing winner at Lingfield last month so he may end up being the danger. Sea The Moon filly Krona goes handicapping for a top yard so better can be expected. Nathaniel filly Dovena has ground to make up with The Pug but she is open to further improvement so could also go well for a long way in this.

Wetherby 4.50 White Rhino (best price 13/8)
Left previous form miles behind to make a winning handicap debut at Southwell last week, staying on well to spring a big upset; turned out quickly under a penalty and if building on that will take a lot of beating.
No surprise to see WHITE RHINO turned out quickly following that Southwell romp last week. He cut through the pack to stay on strongly and beat the odds-on favourite by 6 lengths. He is open to improvement on just his second start in a handicap and really should be following up under Craig Nichol. Not a great deal of strength in depth in here so perhaps Red Ochre is the danger as the market is suggesting. He opened his account back in 2021 at Kelso but has largely struggled since. He did finally bounce back to form when denied just half a length to a useful type in Blue Shark over C&D last time and if building on that could run well. Obviously lacks consistency in the past though so not one for maximum faith. Desaray Girl is top-weight but she ran better off this mark last time and is also noted.
