NAP – My best tip of the day
Southwell 6.15 Midnightattheoasis (best price 5/4)
Oasis Dream colt who left his debut run well behind to go close at Chelmsford and then improved again to win a shade cosily over C&D last month; opening mark may well prove lenient and looks one to keep on side for now.
The well bred MIDNIGHTATTHEOASIS looks a good bet to follow up at Southwell on Friday. He was heavily backed over track and trip last time and did it a shade cosily at the finish. He goes handicapping now off what could easily prove a lenient mark and if he can settle better then I think there is only one winner. Lady Nagin also won over C&D last time and looks the obvious danger now sent handicapping. She is also unexposed so should have a fair bit more to offer yet. Arbaawi was denied just a nose on penultimate start and probably found the race coming too soon when disappointing when last seen. If bouncing back he should fare best of the rest.

Lingfield 2.50 Spring Promise (best price 5/4)
Lope De Vega filly who caught the eye going down just a length on debut here despite running green; improved again when denied just a short head at Kempton last time; looks hard to oppose here with more to come.
Night Of Thunder filly Choisya impressed winning by a head at Southwell last month but this won’t be easy shouldering a 7lb penalty and I’m keen on SPRING PROMISE making the breakthrough. The latter was only headed late over a mile at Kempton last time and down to 7f here with further improvement to come she is expected to go one better now. It is not just a two-horse race though as Footstepsinthesand filly Puntarelle also looks to have a bright enough future having shaped quite well in defeat when fourth at Newbury. She’ll probably come on for the run but shouldn’t be completely discounted. Royal Design is another one likely to do better with time and experience.
