Improving with experience over fences before failing to see out the trip at Hereford; very much back to form when runner-up at Fakenham at the start of the month in first-time cheekpieces; should go one better off the same mark.
With just three horses to beat now this looks a great chance for AUDITORIA to open her account over fences. She has been pitched into some decent races this season and if you take out that Hereford run on penultimate start where she clearly failed to stay the trip she hasn’t been disgraced. This is much easier and if she builds on that recent second at Fakenham then off the same mark she should be able to get her head in front. Stamina Chope is out now so perhaps Legendary Rhythm could emerge as the main danger. She has come down the weights after a tough run of form and this would be easier than what she has been facing. She hasn’t won for nearly 2 years though so that would be worrying. Toughasoldboots also seems to have enough to prove at present.

Catterick 4.15 Betty Baloo (best price 13/8)
Likeable mare who took her form up a few notches over fences to win over C&D at the start of the month; that form has been franked since too with Credo winning impressively at Warwick last week; sure to run well again.
Given what Credo has achieved since BETTY BALOO must be of major interest at Catterick on Tuesday. She beat that horse in good style over C&D at the start of the month and she has since romped home by 13 lengths at Warwick to give the form a serious boost. She is up 2lb but has only actually had 3 starts over fences so there should be more in the locker when called upon. Lounge Lizard always seems to get well backed but has yet to shine whether it is over hurdles or fences. He shaped better at least when third at Warwick so still looks the danger but I’d much rather be with the favourite. Fiston Du Mou bounced back to make all over C&D last time and up just 1lb is another one that has to be respected. He does lack consistency though which would have to be worrying.
