Saturday’s American Horse Racing Tips

Race 14 Gulfstream Park 10.43 Forte 4/5 Smart colt who has won 4 from 5 to date including three times at the top level; obviously open to further improvement and his class is expected to shine through here on reappearance; definitely one to keep firmly on side.

This looks a decent opportunity for FORTE to pick up where he left off. He looked a colt going places at the end of last year and clearly isn't done improving yet. He is open to further progress and should be able to bring up the four-timer. Blazing Sevens was behind the selection when they met at the Breeders' Cup so has his work cutout to try and close that gap let alone reverse it. General Jim was back to winning ways in a Grade 3 last month and could be the danger if improving again. Rocket Can has won 2 of his last 3 but this is tougher again and he will need to improve to get competitive at the business end. Mage looked promising winning on debut but he needs more to remain unbeaten in a good renewal.

Exciting filly who couldn't have won any more impressively on debut over 6 and a half furlongs here back in January; sure to improve from that initial experience and while this is tougher she is clearly a filly going places.

This looks a two-horse race on paper but I'm keen to side with ASSET PURCHASE who was really impressive winning on debut. She came 8 lengths clear at the line and looked something out of the ordinary. This is obviously a big step up but she looks one to keep on side. Ziaerati also won impressively on debut and she looks to have a bright future as well. I'll be very surprised if the pair don't fight this one out. Capella is 2-2 having shown a good attitude to prevail by a neck last time but she will need plenty more now tackling dirt for the first time. Shidabhuti is also 2-2 and beat La Vita Sofia last time so could threaten is progressing once more but this is a very good race.
