NAP – My best tip of the day
Kempton 3.05 Lion’s Dream (best price 11/8)
Promising sort who looked a nice horse winning on debut at Chelmsford last year; beaten in 3 starts since but caught the eye on stable debut when beaten less than a length at Newcastle.
The scopey LION’S DREAM should keep improving with experience and if he builds on that reappearance run where he was beaten less than a length he will be hard to beat here. This yard do really well with these types and I’m surprised he isn’t shorter than 2/1 at the time of writing. Golden Mayflower is proving expensive to follow but she bumped into one last time in the shape of Lightship who looks promising. If she reproduces that sort of form it is hard to see how she isn’t the danger. Gorak has also been catching the eye recently bumping into the well handicapped Chola Empire at Southwell and then going down just a nose at Chelmsford last time. He is also entitled to go well. Crystal Casque won here and then chased home Lightship but more is probably required.

Fontwell 4.40 Issar D’airy (best price 9/4)
Always travelled strongly when winning by 12 lengths at Lingfield back in January and likely improved again under a penalty to chase home a good horse in Almost Gotaway at Taunton; more to come.
A 10lb rise might be enough to put some off but not me as I feel ISSAR D’AIRY can improve again. He won impressively at Lingfield and then bumped into another progressive horse in Almost Gotaway at Taunton. He has more to come and with the yard going well he looks to have a great chance here. Jamie Moore is back in the saddle which would have to be a positive and with Sami Bear now out there really shouldn’t be too many excuses. Auba Me Yang improved to open his account at Ffos Las last month and a 10lb rise looks fair so I think he is the danger. He needs to prove he is as effective up in trip though. Sambezi is a fair yardstick and ran well again when second here last month but he is finding a tendency to find one too good now which is enough to put me off.
