Roger Varian won this race a couple of years ago with Asjad and he could have another promising horse on his hands in the shape of SWISS STAR who went close to opening her account at Lingfield last month. She was only denied half a length having been well backed and it was inexperience that cost her. She should be more streetwise with two runs under her belt now and hopefully make no mistake here. The fifth won next time out so the form has already been franked.

Those with experience haven't achieved a great deal so it might leave the debutant Mezon as the main danger. This Caravaggio filly is well related and if the market speaks positively about her she could go well. Zoustar colt Molaqab was beaten 5 lengths behind Covey at Newmarket but it is still early days and if he improves he is another one that could get competitive.

Expensive Kingman colt TONY MONTANA looks to have a great chance of getting off the mark here. He cost a whopping 425,000 guineas and made a bright start to his career finishing second to the promising Bluestocking on debut at Salisbury. Put away after he returned with another fine effort when third over C&D before being highly tried at Royal Ascot. These are much calmer waters and with further improvement expected he should have too much for these.

No Nay Never colt Fleet Admiral didn't shape badly to finish third on debut and then improved in defeat when fourth to Ziryab beaten 5 lengths at Leicester last month. He is a work in progress but if stepping forward again could be the danger. Frankel colt Cracksking looked a bit outpaced at Sandown but is another one who can do better with experience.
