Progressive colt who drew away stylishly to win by 5 lengths at Belmont over this trip on penultimate start; followed up convincingly again over the same C&D last time; can improve again so hat-trick beckons.

The promising ROTKNEE looks hard to oppose at Saratoga on Friday night. He has bolted up the last twice and still remains open to further improvement given how lightly raced he is. He has run once at this track before and that resulted in a win so I'm struggling to see him beat. Marsalis won 2 from 3 last season and returned with a very good run beaten just half a length last month. If he builds on that he looks the danger as he has a fair bit of potential as well. Today's Flavor was poor last time but that was in graded company and is another one that could run well.

Likeable type who showed a good attitude to prevail on penultimate start and then followed up with a bit in hand up to this trip last time; looks on the upgrade now so if in the same form can land the hat-trick.

Great chance for the thriving MY LAST MISSION to complete the hat-trick. He won with plenty in hand last time and is going from strength to strength. This trip suits him well and he is the most likely winner in this field. Frightland has been running well this season but without winning. I think he'll make a race of it but find the selection the stronger in the closing stages. Of the rest Cajun Dream is unexposed but couldn't find more when needed to finish third last time. He has won 3 of his first 5 starts prior to that blip though so could still run a nice race without winning.
