I know LIGHT INFANTRY hasn't won since he was a 2yo but he has posted some huge runs in defeat and got within a short head of victory in a Group 1 in France just 3 starts back. His form is comfortably the best on offer here with his latest run behind Inspiral and Big Rock looking a really good effort. The last time he ran at this level he won and he looks the class act. With Spencer in the saddle again he should take all the beating.

Chindit is tough and likeable and didn't run badly when third in the Hungerford last time. He goes well at this track and will be the danger. Zoology only went down a length to Age Of Kings in the Jersey Stakes and is another one that should get competitive on debut for his new yard.

The progressive BOTANICAL can get back to winning ways here. He missed just a neck on debut to another smart type in Merlin The Wizard and then improved to win at Hamilton. That victory over Crack Shot and Unlimited has been strongly franked since with both those rivals winning in the meantime. He then bumped into Measured Time at Kempton and that colt is 3-3 now. He has more to come now handicapping and is worth keeping on side.

Mantoog is a filly that is improving with experience and she was impressive at Salisbury last time. This is tougher again but she deserves a chance in a race like this and could be the danger. Lope De Vega filly Elegancia is also going the right way and could get competitive hopefully behind the selection.
