I know Venetia Williams has been wanting to run HUNTER LEGEND again for a while and this looks a good opportunity for him to get his head in front. He did very little wrong on chase debut beaten just half a length at Ludlow and with improvement expected on that he is well placed to go one better. The winner and third both went close next time out so the form has substance. In terms of a danger Irish raider Kalkas could be interesting if ready to go back from a lengthy layoff following a wind op.

Despite being sent off 10/1 on debut POPCORN MAGIC made the perfect start running on strongly to get up and win a shade cosily. He goes up another furlong in trip here and the way he hit the line he is going to relish that. This won't be easy giving weight away but he is clearly quite promising and looks worth keeping on side. Birthday Angel was beaten 3 lengths on debut at Lingfield by a couple of promising types and will be the danger if improving on that. Running The Game is also respected.
