Chester 1.30
I did initially fancy Viamarie for this as she impressed me winning on debut but with her out it should be a good chance for ALI SHUFFLE to complete the hat-trick. She has won both starts to date and the form is stacking up. She is drawn to attack and looks the one to beat.
Miss Piggle is by Havana Grey and looked good despite hanging winning at Southwell on debut. She can improve and looks the danger.
Newton Abbot 1.45
The money came for HELTENHAM at Perth and he made no mistake winning impressively by 13 lengths under Harry Skelton. He is up 8lb from that but is clearly thriving right now and he remains well treated on his old form so really should be following up against these.
Light N Strike does look the obvious threat as the betting suggests as that was a good run chasing home Saint Segal at Chepstow.
Chester 2.05
I really like the chances of REDORANGE here for Clive Cox. This son of Mehmas was beaten just over a length at Sandown on reappearance. He looks sure to improve from that run and he has a good draw here and should go forward and prove hard to catch under Rossa Ryan.
Ruby’s Profit bolted up at Wolverhampton last month but has been hiked up 11lb which definitely makes life tougher. Blinky is also feared.
Chester 2.35
Aidan O’Brien has won 2 of the last 3 renewals so Minnie Hauk will likely be popular but Ralph Beckett took it last year with Forest Fairy and has THAT’S AMORE this time. She won by 6 lengths on debut and now up in trip can do even better so looks really promising.
Minnie Hauk is definitely the danger as she should improve again and Queen Of Thieves is another one to note as well in a good renewal.
Chester 3.05
Aidan O’Brien has dominated the Chester Vase down the years and he has a great chance of winning it this time around with promising colt LAMBOURN. He was beaten by his stablemate on return at Leopardstown but should relish this trip and can build on that here.
Convergent is a perfect 2-2 and impressed winning with a bit to spare at Redcar. If he steps forward again he could emerge as the danger.
Chester 3.40
I thought that was a massive run from BOB MALI in defeat at Newmarket. He went down just over a length to the progressive Double Rush and he shaped like he’d improve plenty for it. The third Invictus Gold has won since to frank the form too so lots going for him.
Hammer The Hammer is on a hat-trick and was a convincing winner at Southwell last time so is feared most.
