With just the 3 horses heading to post GISELLE is understandably a short price for Aidan O’Brien. This Frankel filly bumped into Bedtime Story on debut and then opened her account at the Curragh on just her second outing. She was only denied half a length in Group company on final start and can do better again.

Harpsichord has been running well on the AW and if improving again now on turf could be the danger. Love Talk has enough to prove.

The Swinton is always well contested and I’ve taken a chance on one at a double-figure price in the shape of GIVEMEFIVE for Harry Derham. He impressed winning at Newcastle and then backed that up following up here last time. The handicapper applies more pressure but he is clearly thriving right now.

Plenty of dangers likely headed by Helnwein who went down narrowly at Chepstow and arrives in form. Anyharminasking is also respected.

I thought that was an eye-catching run from FOX AVATAR on handicap debut. He was beaten just a length and a half at the line and was closing in good style. He looks the improver in the field and if he does come forward he will be a danger to all in this.

Hamlet’s Night was only denied a neck at Haydock and a similar run to that here would likely see him competitive. Gincident also has a squeak.

I’m confident RAINBOWS EDGE has the most potential of these. This Night Of Thunder filly looked exciting winning her first two starts and she didn’t do much wrong when second at Salisbury. This straight mile will be ideal and she looks the one to beat.

Harry Angel filly Arisaig has some decent form in the book and she is better than she showed at Goodwood last time so looks the danger.

I know Candyman Stan was impressive at Brighton but this is definitely tougher and POWER OF DESTINY looks far better value. She blew out at Newcastle but I’d put a line through that. She is still lightly raced and if bouncing back would have a great chance here.

Vice President is another one with something to prove but with Ryan Moore booked for the ride he could show up much better now.

The Victoria Cup is always fiercely competitive and usually I do like to try and find one at a price but QIRAT looks an absolute standout this year. All 3 of his wins have come over this trip and he won fresh last season. If he handles this ground and settles he should be coming out on top.

Roi De France has some nice pots in him and ran well when second at Newcastle last month. Back on turf he looks the most obvious threat.

Puppet Master should improve on his reappearance run and is definitely a big threat to all but PRINCE OF THE SEAS should run well at a nice price. He impressed winning at Sandown and then just didn’t look to handle Epsom. This track will suit and he still has potential and holds an entry into the Irish Derby.

Of the rest Rahiebb is well bred and went down just a neck to a promising type at Haydock so could get competitive at least.

The way TURQUINO won on debut really was quite taking. He was slowly away and ran green but the penny dropped late and he hit the line hard to win going away. He followed up at Newcastle and has potential to do better again now switched to turf handicapping for the first time. Keep firmly on side!

Calumet is quite a big price but could be the danger as he had excuses at Pontefract and shaped well at Kempton before that. Fireblade is also noted.

After winning on debut CATHEDRAL probably improved again to go down narrowly at Newmarket. She can do better again this season and despite lacking a run might have the class to see this field off. Ralph Beckett is definitely hitting form which is encouraging operating at a 20% strike rate in the past fortnight.

Jabaara has plenty of experience to draw upon and was handed a tough ask in America last month so should find this easier at least.
