Hamilton 3.45
The money has been pretty relentless for BIG FUN and it is easy to see why. He was beaten less than 2 lengths on debut by Farough and the latter looks potentially useful. He is sure to improve from that initial experience and should get off the mark now.
Amo Racing colt Vincenzo Peruggia certainly looks the part on paper being by Lope De Vega so he could be the biggest danger.
Salisbury 4.00
Another horse that has been heavily punted today is Starman filly ORION’S BELT for Richard Hannon. The yard often target this race having won 2 of the last 3 renewals. She cost over 100,000 guineas and is well related so may well live up to the hype on debut.
Sergei Prokofiev colt Italica impressed winning readily at Chepstow last month and with more to come looks the obvious threat.
Hamilton 4.15
This is definitely one of the more open races on ITV this afternoon so I’ve decided to take a chance on FAR ABOVE THE LAW now at a double-figure price. He needed the run on return but came good at Windsor and that form has been franked. Looks a bit overpriced!
Lord Roxby also arrives in winning form having scored over track and trip latest so should have a good chance of following that up here.
Salisbury 4.30
With Quamby now out I don’t think those with experience set much of a standard so this could go the way of debutant MISSION POSSIBLE for William Haggas. This well bred Dubawi filly cost 725,000 guineas and certainly looks the part on breeding.
Fellow debutant Wujjood is by Sea The Stars and she also has the potential to be quite an exciting filly but obviously lacks experience too.
Hamilton 4.45
Great chance for progressive 4yo KING’S SCHOLAR to land the hat-trick. He has won 3 of his last 4 now and impressed following up over this C&D last month. The handicapper applies more pressure but his speed figures are good and there is more to come yet.
Sam Hawkens also looks on the upgrade and impressed winning at Newcastle last month. He could progress again so looks the danger.
Salisbury 5.00
Deservedly CRIMSON SPIRIT is a short price to get himself back in the winners enclosure here. He ran an eye-catching race beaten less than 3 lengths into third at York last time. He is sure to strip fitter for the run and this is definitely easier so lots to like.
Noel Fox remains a lightly raced filly and despite letting backers down at Windsor on return last month she could still threaten here.
Hamilton 5.15
With a bit of luck ‘we’re going to make it a BLUE DAY‘ as Harry Charlton’s 4yo looks to have outstanding claims. He impressed winning at Ascot and then I think a poor ride cost him at Haydock. He has more to come and with Callum Shepherd back on he should win this.
Bergerac is a solid yardstick and he didn’t do much wrong when runner-up at York last time. He should be bang there again and make a race.
Salisbury 5.30
Trainer George Boughey has hit somewhat of a ‘purple patch’ recently and the likeable MARIOENTO should have a great chance to win again. This son of Farhh bolted up at Chepstow and is versatile regarding the ground so despite the rise can follow up here.
Hard to pinpoint an exact danger but Fair Dinkum has been knocking on the door and is likely to be competitive once more.
Hamilton 5.45
No surprise to see ZAPPHIRE top the betting for this. She wasn’t winning out of turn at Carlisle last month and the form has been franked since with the runner-up Vixey, third Crown’s Lady and even fifth Viennoise all winning since. She is 4lb higher but must go well again.
Epidavros ran well when third to Bubbles Wonky here last time and should be the danger off the back of that run.
Hamilton 6.15
I know ROCK OPERA hasn’t won for a while but he was a good third at York last month and he has been pretty consistent this season. He has run once at this track and that resulted in a win so we know it suits him well and he has gone under the radar a bit.
Abduction was denied a run beaten 2 lengths behind Fletchers Dream at Musselburgh and looks a lively danger.
Hamilton 6.45
A wide open race to close out and the 10yo GLASSES UP might just be worth siding with at a huge price. He has regained the winning groove and arrives on a four-timer now. I know those wins have come at Ayr but if transferring that to this track he can go close.
A lot of dangers as you’d expect in such a competitive finale but Gallant Lion won well at Chepstow and that form is solid so is the danger.
