Newmarket 1.50
I thought FURTHUR would be shorter than 11/4 so that makes him a bet in the opener. He relished the step up in trip to make a winning return at Newbury and has done little wrong since. He was running on strongly in the Queen’s Vase and should serve it up to the favourite.
Scandinavia was behind him at Royal Ascot so has work to do to reverse that form. Nightime Dancer is another one to note.
Newmarket 2.25
This looks a straight shootout between the top pair in the betting and I readily prefer BRUSSELS at the prices. He is bred to be smart and made a perfect start overcoming inexperience at the Curragh. He will improve bundles and the yard won this last year as well.
Maximized impressed making it 2-2 at Epsom but I feel like he isn’t open to as much improvement as the Ballydoyle colt.
Newmarket 3.00
I did really fancy Double Rush for this but he is a non runner now annoyingly as had attracted a lot of support. I’ve taken a chance on ARABIAN SUN running well. He impressed winning at Windsor last month and looks on an upward trajectory and is quite a big price too.
Crestofdistinction has won 2 of his last 3 and also looks progressive so is the obvious threat. Tawasol also has a squeak in this.
Newmarket 3.35
It really wouldn’t surprise me to see PALLADIUM run a big race here. He ran well at Goodwood going down just half a length and then certainly wasn’t disgraced fourth behind Rebel’s Romance at Royal Ascot. This is easier and the ground is no problem so worth chancing.
Ghostwriter does have the best form but he is a little short in the betting. There wasn’t much between them in the Hardwicke.
