York 1.50
The way AMERICA QUEEN won on debut at Haydock last month was mightily impressive. She kicks away from the field to win by 12 lengths so definitely falls into the ‘could be anything’ category here. With more to come I can see her turning over the favourite Royal Fixation.
Staya shouldn’t be completely ignored either as she ran well chasing home Fitzella and that is looking like strong form now.
York 2.25
I did like Italica initially for this but with that colt out now ANTHELIA could take a bit of stopping. She has won 4 from 5 so far and impressed edging out Royal Ascot winner Havana Hurricane at Newbury last month. With more to offer again she must have a decent shout here.
Tadej impressed winning in France at the start of the month and is on the upgrade too so looks the biggest danger.
York 3.00
Bullet Point is quite hard to pick holes in as he has bumped into the right horses the last twice but REMMOOZ looks good value and is the selection. He has won 3 from 4 starts to date and beat a good yardstick in Sisyphean at this track last month. I want to keep him on side.
Obviously Bullet Point is the danger but Old Cock is lightly raced and could be capable of getting seriously involved as well.
York 3.35
This should be a fascinating race but it is hard to get away from MINNIE HAUK as she has answered every call. She dug in to win again and take the Irish Oaks last month and a similar performance would likely suffice here.
Estrange is on a four-timer and is an unknown quantity. If she progresses again it could get interesting at least.
York 4.10
I’m still convinced we haven’t seen the best of RAINBOW’S EDGE so she gets a confident vote to come out on top here. She was denied just a neck at this track last month and with more to come as her stamina is drawn out further she should improve again and get back in the winners enclosure.
Charlotte’s Web wasn’t far behind here last time and that could be the form that plays out with her finishing behind the selection again.
