Palacio won this at a double-figure price 2 years ago so you’d be foolish to rule any of these out. I’m going to chance CALL ME LEGEND going close for Hobbs and White. This 5yo impressed winning a bumper last season and should have more to come over hurdles now.

Frontier Prince was only beaten a neck at Uttoxeter on hurdles debut and with more to come this season looks the biggest danger.

Another race where I’m keen to look away from the top of the market. DOCTORS HILL will need to settle but if he does he could prove a danger to all in this. He was a good second on debut in a bumper and that has been boosted since. He could be quite promising now over hurdles.

Masked Man won a point to point by 12 lengths and there seems to be a lot of chat about him so he looks the biggest threat.

Only 8 heading to post but you couldn’t rule any out as this is fiercely competitive. I do like SOMESPRING SPECIAL for Hobbs and White. This mare by Westerner has fitness on side having finished a good third at Fontwell and if building on that should be going close against these.

Lahinch Wave had excuses when well backed at Worcester last month and if back to her best should be in with a big shout.

A race for the old boys now and I can see LORD ACCORD going well if his jumping holds together. He shaped well in defeat bumping into Olivers Travels at Cartmel and off an unchanged mark should be right in the mix here.

Fellow 10yo Le Milos was in winning form when last seen and has won fresh before so looks the most obvious danger.

I’m looking forward to seeing QUEENSBURY BOY out again. He looked promising before struggling at Punchestown but is still armed with a great deal of potential and could be ready to get back on track here before going on to better things this season.

Sticktotheplan has won 2 of his last 3 and now with Olly Murphy could have further progress to come so looks the main threat.

I loved the attitude COCO MADEMOISELLE showed to win at Worcester on return last month. She was game and in another small field here she could prove the answer once more. She has won 3 of her last 4 so looks progressive over fences now.

Art Of Diplomacy has won his last 5 over fences and arrives full of confidence so might give her most to think about.

Good looker LUNDI NOIR made a bright start winning on debut at Market Rasen on sole start last season. He won by 4 lengths and was well backed on that occasion. Given plenty of time he can improve again and may well defy his opening mark here.

I Ain’t Your Mate ran well in defeat on final start last season and with more to come now if ready to roll could prove dangerous.

The way SWEET CARYLINE made all to win at Newton Abbot when last seen was quite impressive. She has more to come over 2 miles and under aggressive tactics could prove hard to peg back again here under Brendan Powell.

La Belle Argentee has run well on both starts to date and with the promise of more to come can put up the most resistance.
