Ascot 12.55

With no Kprios on the scene TRAWLERMAN has mopped up this season winning back to back Group 1s at Royal Ascot and York. He had too much for Sweet William last time and is expected to confirm that form here. He has looked a better horse this season so can reverse last years placings.

Sweet William himself was finally back in the winners enclosure at Doncaster last month. Confidence will be high so should make a race of it.

Ascot 12.55

Trawlerman 4/7

Main danger Sweet William

Ascot 1.30

Into The Sky still looks an exciting prospect so for WORDS OF TRUTH to run that rival down convincingly in the closing stages at Newbury was quite impressive. He has now won his last 3 and with more to come again should extend the winning sequence against these as he does look a future Champion.

Division is progressing nicely and impressed landing the hat-trick at York. This is a quick turnaround but he could be the danger if handling it.

Ascot 2.05

The way LAZZAT won the QEII at Royal Ascot was impressive and despite getting beat the last twice I can see him bouncing back to his best back at this track. Confidence seems to be growing and if he does return to his best then he will prove hard to beat under James Doyle.

Big Mojo won well at Haydock despite being sent off 16/1 and also likes this track so is the danger. Montassib is solid too and will run well.

Lazzat 9/2 each way

Main danger Big Mojo

Ascot 2.45

It is hard to oppose KALPANA here as she really does have the best form. She was only beaten a length by Calandagan in the King George and ran a big race in defeat in the Arc last time. If she brings her best here she should get herself back in the winners enclosure and deservedly so.

Estrange was denied the four-timer at York but bumped into Minnie Hauk. She’s been freshened up and is the biggest threat to the selection.

Ascot 2.45

Kalpana 3/1

Main danger Estrange

Ascot 3.25

It could be a massive day for John and Thady Gosden and hopefully we see FIELD OF GOLD back to his brilliant best here. He was electric winning the St James’s Palace Stakes and just didn’t seem to fire at Glorious Goodwood last time. This straight track will suit better and he is deservedly favourite.

Rosallion has been a bit unlucky this season and again missed narrowly in France. He has the form to give the selection most to think about.

Ascot 3.25

Field Of Gold 2/1 NAP

Main danger Rosallion

Ascot 4.05

The booking of a pacemaker has caused a bit of uproar here but it is perfectly understandable as OMBUDSMAN relished hunting down Birr Castle to beat Delacroix convincingly and win the International at York when last seen and with guaranteed pace on should have all bases covered again here.

Calandagan got beat at Epsom but has put that right with two convincing wins and won the King George last time so looks the danger on that.

Ascot 4.05

Ombudsman 2/1 NEXT BEST

Main danger Calandagan

Ascot 4.40

With 3 wins from his last 4 starts now NATIVE WARRIOR is seriously progressive and with this step back up to a mile likely to bring about further improvement he could go in again here with James Doyle getting the leg back up (won on him at Newcastle earlier in the season).

Shout was back to his best with a bang over C&D and that sets him up perfectly for this so he’s the danger. Fifth Column is also feared.

Main danger Shout but look out for Fifth Column too
