Sandown 12.55
This looks a great chance for BOLLIN THOU to extend the winning sequence. It briefly looked race on at Lingfield but his relentless way of going ultimately saw him win well again. This is winnable and it looks another good bit of placing.
Precious Metal arrives in winning form and looks a nice horse so with more to come looks the one to give the favourite most to think about.
Musselburgh 1.10
At a short price Secret Force makes limited appeal so I’ve taken a chance on LORD running a big race. He has to give weight all round but has won 4 of his last 5 starts and should still have more to come for Donald McCain.
Made U Blush impressed winning by 10 lengths at Doncaster and might be a greater threat than the favourite.
Sandown 1.25
I did like Mon Champion initially for this but the quick turnaround was probably asking a bit much and the ground is going to be bottomless. I’m chancing RIP WHEELER now but you have to put a line through that Wincanton run. He was progressive prior to that blip.
Norn Iron didn’t run badly behind Koukeo at Windsor and his form is stacking up so he could emerge as the main danger to the selection.
Musselburgh 1.43
Another fiercely competitive race which is very much the story of the day. I like WELSH CHARGER who obviously won this race 12 months ago and is only 1lb higher this time around. He is versatile regarding the ground and has plenty in his favour again.
Williethebuilder has been thriving of late and arrives on a hat-trick so could be the one to make a race of it with the selection but this is open.
Sandown 2.02
I know JAX JUNIOR needs to prove himself in this ground but if he does go on it and gets into a rhythm he could run a big race here. The drop back to 2 miles should help and he still has more to come over fences now handicapping.
Kotmask will keep galloping and looks one of the dangers. Escapeandevade is another one I expect to get involved in the finish.
Musselburgh 2.20
Another race where you could put forward 4 or 5 but at a nice each way price TEDDY BLUE appeals most. He clearly wasn’t at his best at Ascot when last seen and given time since I can see him bouncing back and running a big race just 3lb above his last winning mark.
Insurrection ran well to finish third at Musselburgh and if coming on for the run could get competitive. The Kalooki Kid is another one to note.
Sandown 2.40
The way KITZBUHEL jumped his rivals into submission at Kempton on Boxing Day was really impressive. He is 2-2 over fences now and with this more testing ground absolutely no issue I think he’ll complete the hat-trick against this field.
Kala Conti is also unbeaten over fences and thrashed Kargese at Cork last month. She looks the most obvious danger.
Leopardstown 2.55
I’m really looking forward to seeing ROMEO COOLIO out again. I know this probably isn’t his optimum trip but he is unbeaten over fences and still looks capable of a bigger performance. I think Kargese will set it up for him and he is the most likely winner.
Kargese looked good winning here last month but she didn’t beat much and this is a much tougher ask. Downmexicoway not good enough.
Sandown 3.10
I’m willing to put a line through that run from HARTINGTON at Windsor. He was ridden too aggressively and inevitably got tired at the business end. He has been left off the same mark and if this pans out more favourably he can run well here.
Party Vibes is definitely intriguing at a price. She won nicely at Cheltenham and could be the danger if getting the trip.
Leopardstown 3.30
This looks a great chance for GALOPIN DES CHAMPS to win this for the fourth year in a row! It was only a lack of fitness that got him beat here last month and with that under his belt he should reverse form with both Affordale Fury and I Am Maximus.
Gaelic Warrior could prove dangerous if finally showing his true form at this venue. Fact To File is also interesting if bouncing back.

Sandown 3.42
This looks a good chance for Harry Cobden to ride a winner in the JP McManus silks. FORTUNATE MAN impressed winning by 3 lengths at Aintree and that form looks useful at this level. If he repeats that he looks the one to side with.
Mr Vango won’t mind conditions and obviously stays all day so has to be feared. Pic Roc is likeable and is also respected.
