Kempton 1.10

The ITV opener looks a straight shootout between the top pair in the betting and a narrow preference goes to HOLD THE SERVE for Olly Murphy. He arrives on a hat-trick and was impressive defying a penalty at Market Rasen. More to come now handicapping.

Grenadier Jed is likeable and only missed narrowly last time clear from the rest. He still looks well handicapped and is a big danger.

No surprise to see VALIANT FORCE a warm order for the Hever Sprint Stakes 5/2 into 7/4. He has won 2 of his last 3 and bolted up at Dundalk when last seen. He is fit and in red-hot form and is expected to take a lot of beating again at these weights.

Diligent Harry isn’t getting any younger but dead-heated at Lingfield in the Kachy Stakes and is feared most in here.

I know PRECIOUS MAN has been a bit easy to back in the betting but I don’t see why as he has won 2 of his last 3 and was much the best at this track following a wind op last month. He has more to come and should be tough to beat.

One Horse Town bumped into Maestro Conti at Cheltenham last month but that was a good run and he looks the danger again here.

The money has really come for CHANCELLOR now and it is easy to see why. He has won 2 of his last 3 and was nicely on top at Southwell last time. He is bred to come into his own over a mile and a quarter and has untapped potential in this field.

Nebras is on a hat-trick but there is a lot of pace on so that might count against him. Boiling Point is also noted in a good renewal.

The way JAX JUNIOR won at Sandown last month was impressive and his form is looking progressive over fences now. We know this track suits him well and if he gets into a nice rhythm again they are going to struggle to peg him back.

Go West looked good in Scotland last time and if backing that up could be the danger as his form is working out quite well too.

I know FORTUNATE MAN wasn’t at his best at Sandown last time but he is better judged on his romp at Aintree prior to that. Now stretching out to this marathon trip he could have more to come and if he jumps better he looks a danger to all in this.

Livin On Luco will keep rolling and despite a lofty mark should be bang there. Mr Vango is also a dour stayer and should run well too.

After showing promise DOUBLE MEASURE came good to win by 11 lengths at Huntingdon last month. That was a useful performance and despite drifting here and stepping back up in grade I think he can run a big race for connections who could be in for a good day.

Mustang Du Breuil is yet to taste defeat and impressed at Doncaster so is dangerous. Klub De Reve also looks promising and is feared.

Fairyhouse 3.15

I loved the way THREE CARD BRAG won at Cheltenham on penultimate start and then he backed that up chasing home Panic Attack at Newbury. His form is strong and freshened up with this in mind he should run a big race here.

Grangeclare West looks capable of a big run with the National the likely target. Captain Cody will appreciate conditions and is noted too.

I can see this flatter track really suiting the strong travelling HOE JOLY SMOKE here. He has been running well at Cheltenham all season and still has potential to do better. This is a really nice pot at £85,425 and the Skelton team would have targeted it for sure.

Kdeux Saint Fray is very interesting now stretching out to 3 miles with his form stacking up so no surprise to see him favourite.
