Lingfield 1.30
I know LADY DORA MAE has drifted a bit but her chance looks glaringly obvious to me. She has more to come over 7f and the hat-trick looks on the cards. Jack Callan is great value for his 5lb claim and she should run a big race.
Handle With Care would be dangerous off the front but there is quite a bit of pace on with the likes of Party Bear sure to go forward too.
Newcastle 1.50
This race has strength in depth so it won’t be easy but I do think there is a lot more to come from SILENT STRIKE. The yard target this race and with further progress on the cards I think he’ll get back to winning ways here.
Al Najashi has won four in a row now and you couldn’t rule out further improvement so he looks the danger. Northern Empire is feared too.
Newcastle 1.50
Main danger Al Najashi but look out for Northern Empire at a bigger price too
Lingfield 2.05
The money is coming for SHRIMP SHADY and it is easy to see why. He deserved to get off the mark at Wolverhampton last time and with more to come now tackling two miles he is a horse to keep on side especially with the yard making a fast start to this Flat season.
Selenic could relish this trip and is feared for Sir Mark Prescott. Arc Zoosve and Diamond Bay also complete the shortlist.
Newcastle 2.25
I’m looking forward to seeing STATEIRA back out. She is a good looking filly who has won 2 from 3 this season. She was really impressive over C&D winning by 4 lengths and has been put away with this the target since. She should be really hard to beat.
Carolina Jetstream is on a hat-trick and looks the danger. She’ll need to improve again to beat this favourite though. Callianassa also noted.
Lingfield 2.40
The way DARK ACE won at Wolverhampton last month was impressive. He has some decent form to his name and if turning up in the same sort of form here he should go close. Hopefully he gets a good pace to run down.
Uncle Don has been subject to a gamble and should run well and Carbine Harvester at a bigger price is another one entitled to get involved.

Newcastle 3.00
Andrew Balding won this last year and has another great chance in the progressive THE LOST KING. This son of Kingman was value for more than the winning margin last time and can improve again and be hard to beat under Oisin Murphy.
Chancellor is progressive and looked a bit unlucky denied a neck by Sky Safari at Lingfield. He is definitely the biggest danger.
Lingfield 3.15
I thought MY FERMOY did well to win at Wolverhampton last month. He has now won 2 of his last 3 and you’d be foolish to rule out further improvement here. He is unexposed over a mile and a quarter and looks the one to side with again.
Great Bedwyn ran well to finish second at Kempton and if building on that again could run well and might be worth an each way saver.
Newcastle 3.35
After just the six career starts there should be plenty more to come from SARAB STAR. I know he was beaten at Kempton last month but the way that race was run didn’t suit and going an end to end gallop here back down to 6f could see him back to his best.
Pocklington has been backed and is certainly capable but isn’t always the most straightforward. He is the danger on recent form though.
Lingfield 3.50
I’m pleasantly surprised to see BORGI such a big price here. He has won his last two starts and while this is clearly tougher he has gone under the radar somewhat and might be capable of getting involved.
The Dragon King was only denied a head at Newcastle on penultimate start and if getting back to that form would be a danger to all.
Newcastle 4.10
The money came for REGAL ULIXES over C&D on return but he shaped like he needed the run. He improved to win readily at Lingfield beating Beylerbeyi which is solid form. The drop back in trip didn’t suit last time and he has potential to improve again back over a mile and a quarter.
Gaucher impressed following up at Dundalk last time but hasn’t beaten much and this is tougher. Teumessias Fox could hit the frame.
Newcastle 4.42
Beylerbeyi has obvious claims back up to two miles here but at a huge price TRIBAL STAR could surprise a few. He ran over an inadequate trip behind Gaucher last time and will relish going back up in trip here. He could be very well handicapped and is a huge price.
Of the rest Dramatic Star can leave his reappearance run behind and has potential to do better under Cieren Fallon so is also feared.
