Carlisle 1.30
No surprise to see the money coming for OPPORTUNITY here. He was very much back to form running an eye-catching race on reappearance. He was only beaten two lengths and with improvement to come he should have a great chance against this field.
Rogue Millions has size and scope and despite lacking a run could emerge as the biggest danger to the favourite.
Beverley 1.45
I’d be confident there is more to come from URBAN GLIMPSE and despite fluffing his lines somewhat on reappearance he can leave that behind and be a big player here. This trip is ideal and he still looks well handicapped off his current mark.
Sir William was beaten less than a length at Windsor and will be a big danger if managing to build on that performance.
Carlisle 2.00
I am keeping the faith with REALIGN here. He didn’t go unbacked at Newmarket but in hindsight probably needed the run. If he leaves that behind back down in grade and in first-time cheekpieces he could be a major player and in my opinion is worth chancing.
Wild Clary is likeable and only missed a neck at Ripon last time. He will be fitter again and looks the biggest threat.
Beverley 2.15
Cosmic Mystery is respected on debut with Havana Grey doing so well but I’d have KODI BEAR LIGHT favourite for this and she isn’t at the time of writing. She impressed winning at Thirsk and has more to come and looks a nice prospect.
Of the rest Roots In Touche is by Dandy Man and wasn’t exactly cheap so could be forward enough to run well on debut.
Carlisle 2.33
After a luckless run at York REDORANGE quickly put things right winning readily at Windsor last time out. He is a sprinter at the top of his game right now and granted usual luck in-running again here he should have a good chance to follow up against these.
Celandine is by Kingman and she was poorly placed on return. She is much better than that and could emerge as the danger.
Beverley 2.48
The money came for MATTEO on debut and he made no mistake winning impressively by nearly five lengths at the line. He is open to improvement and is worth keeping on side to make it a perfect 2-2 against these.
Arapaho Gold also impressed on debut and if improving should run well. The Dancing Pirate can also do better so don’t underestimate either.
Carlisle 3.10
I’m expecting ESTRANGE to be all the rage here! She won this last year albeit at Haydock but sets a clear standard and really should be making a winning return against these. She is lightly raced and could still have more to come being just a 5yo.
Waardah is promising and won’t go down without a fight but even if bringing her best I think she is up against it. Cover the reverse forecast.
Chester 3.30
This is fiercely competitive but I can see PALMAR BAY running well for Ralph Beckett. This 5yo by Exceed and Excel was below par at Haydock but back in handicap company could get back on track against these.
Roman Dragon obviously loves it here and won over 5f here last time and could run well back up in trip. Elements Of Fire is another one I fear.
Carlisle 3.45
Clive Cox usually targets this race and he must have a great chance again this year with the progressive LANGSTONE. The latter won with something to spare at Kempton last time and he looks the type to improve again now sent handicapping for the first time.
Princling is going the right way and could threaten most but also watch out for Lake Como at a huge price for Boughey.
Carlisle 3.45
Main danger Princling but it might be worth having a saver on Lake Como
