Saturday and Sunday’s boosted accas both landed, so I’m going for the hat-trick with a Monday five-fold. Spreadex price it at 4.93/1 and the 15% boost for five legs takes it to 5.67/1, with the extra paid in cash.

Monday Night Football at Coventry is the anchor, with three home wins around Europe and one goals market in Ligue 2. Every leg is 1/10 or bigger, so the boost covers the whole acca.

Here’s my reasoning for each leg, in kick-off order, with the latest team news.

Atalanta v Venezia tips

Monday 17:30 · New Balance Arena
Atalanta to win6/11

Atalanta haven’t been at their best. They are 11th with two wins from five, having lost to Roma, Cagliari and Juventus. But they have beaten Bologna and Sassuolo in the league and won in Europe against Hapoel Tel Aviv, and they are a different side in Bergamo.

Venezia are the worst team in Serie A right now. They are bottom without a point, have lost six in a row in all competitions and have conceded 13 league goals in five games. In their last three away games they have scored three and let in seven. This is the right opponent for Atalanta to get going against.

  • Venezia 0 points
  • Venezia L6 in a row
  • Venezia 13 conceded
Team news: Confirmed line-ups are due around 16:30, an hour before kick-off.

Elfsborg v Halmstad tips

Monday 18:00 · Borås Arena
Elfsborg to win3/10

Fourth play 16th in the Allsvenskan. Elfsborg have 37 points from 22 games, while Halmstad have just 14 and have lost 14 times. Elfsborg have also named the same starting eleven three games running, so they’re settled.

Elfsborg have won nine of the 14 meetings between these two. Halmstad did win 2-1 in Borås last season and drew 1-1 in May, so it isn’t a free hit, but on this season’s numbers the gap between the sides is huge.

  • 4th v 16th
  • Halmstad L14 of 22
  • Elfsborg 9 wins in 14 H2H
Team news: Elfsborg are without Rohdén (muscle) and Frick. Halmstad have no reported absences.

Ludogorets v Arda Kardzhali tips

Monday 18:00 · Huvepharma Arena
Ludogorets to win4/9

Ludogorets are unbeaten in the Bulgarian league this season, with seven wins and two draws. At home they are even stronger: four wins and a draw in their last five, with 13 goals scored and just two conceded.

Arda are a decent side in sixth, but they have been leaky. They lost 4-1 at CSKA Sofia and 3-2 at home to Botev Plovdiv and have conceded ten goals in their last five. I can’t see them keeping Ludogorets quiet in Razgrad.

  • Ludogorets unbeaten
  • 13 scored, 2 conceded at home
  • Arda 10 conceded in 5
Team news: Confirmed line-ups are due around 17:00, an hour before kick-off.

Dijon v Metz tips

Monday 19:45 · Stade Gaston Gérard
Both teams to score8/15

Both teams have scored in every one of Dijon’s last five games. They beat Laval 3-2 and Annecy 2-1, lost 3-2 to Saint-Etienne and drew 1-1 at Boulogne. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in that run.

Metz have seen both teams score in four of their last five, including a 2-2 with Saint-Etienne and draws at Annecy and against Laval. Neither side has kept a clean sheet recently, and these two are tenth and ninth, so I expect an open game with goals at both ends.

  • Dijon BTTS 5 of 5
  • Metz BTTS 4 of 5
  • 0 clean sheets in 10
Team news: Confirmed line-ups are due around 18:45, an hour before kick-off.

Coventry v Newcastle tips

Monday 20:00 · Coventry Building Society Arena
Newcastle or draw1/3

Coventry are 19th with one win from five and have struggled at both ends. They have scored two goals and conceded ten. Their only win came 1-0 at Forest, and they lost to Villa in the EFL Cup before the break.

Newcastle have had a mixed start and were beaten 4-1 at Leeds, but they drew 2-2 at Anfield and beat Hull 2-1 last time out. They have also won their last seven meetings with Coventry. With the draw covered, I’m happy to side with the better team.

  • Coventry 2 scored in 5
  • Coventry L4 of 5
  • Newcastle W7 in a row v Coventry
Team news: Coventry are without the suspended Taiwo Awoniyi and Aurele Amenda (calf), but Milan van Ewijk is back. Newcastle are expected to be without Dan Burn (ankle), while Amar Dedic is back in training and Joelinton could make his first league appearance of the season.

My verdict

Elfsborg and Ludogorets at home are the two legs I’m most confident in. The Dijon goals leg has the strongest trend behind it, and Newcastle double chance covers the draw on Monday Night Football. At 5.67/1 with the boost, this is the acca I’m backing to make it three in a row.
