Notebook Selection
THE NOTEBOOK WAS PROFITABLE TO FOLLOW LAST YEAR AND WE’LL BE LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK THIS AFTERNOON!
Naas 1.50 Everlastingpromise (15/8)
Useful type who has won two of his last four; bolted up at Thurles in November before failing to get home up in trip at Navan last time; drop back to two miles looks ideal and should have too much for them here.
The drop in trip should see EVERLASTINGPROMISE back in the winners enclosure here for JP McManus. He has won two of his last four starts with both of those victories coming over 2m2f. He failed to get home up to two and a half miles at Navan last time and a drop to two miles looks ideal now. He has plenty of ability as showing when hacking up on his penultimate start and he looks the most likely winner here if bouncing back. Allardyce was beaten at Leopardstown but still has potential so is feared most.
Notebook Selection
Southwell 3.30 Beechwood James (13/8)
Eye-catcher when fifth to Granscape over C&D last month, only beaten a couple of lengths at the line; stable going well and dropped a further 2lb for that so should go very close if building on that; this won’t take much winning.
Given how close he went last time BEECHWOOD JAMES should be up to winning off a lowly mark of just 47. This is pretty desperate and he won’t get many better opportunities to get off the mark. Optima Petamus is rather hit and miss but did win at Newcastle last time so is respected. Telekinetic just shades the verdict as the biggest danger though with the hood reached for. She is in capable hands and should be capable of more. I’ll be surprised if anything else manages to get involved.
Notebook Double
Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
