NAP – Best selection of the day
OUR NAP IS OUR BEST BET OF THE DAY AND IT RUNS OVER AT DONCASTER ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON!
Doncaster 2.40 Perfect Predator (9/4)
Ran a promising race on return when second at Hereford; flopped at Huntingdon but right back to form when second over C&D last time, looking like he had the race in the bag before making a mistake at the last, losing momentum; compensation awaits.
It looked like the perfect ride as Tom Bellamy brought PERFECT PREDATOR through to seemingly win over C&D last time only to make a complete hash of the last losing momentum at a crucial stage. It was reported after the race that he lost his left hind shoe so it shows you the significance of that mistake. Tom Cannon is back in the saddle today and compensation surely awaits Alan King’s 5yo? He looks progressive and should have too much for these. A patient ride should suit in the conditions and hopefully it will pan out perfectly for the NAP. Global Society looks the main danger on debut for Nicky Henderson.
NB – Second best selection of the day
Chelmsford 5.30 Duke Debonair (7/2)
Dream Ahead gelding who showed the benefit of a summer on his back to run on well for fifth at Wolverhampton on return; first run for 382 days so sure to improve; big eye-catcher stepping up to a mile on handicap debut; sure to go close.
With Jamie Osborne among the winners DUKE DEBONAIR is taken to make a winning handicap debut tackling a mile for the first time. He shaped as though the extra yardage would be ideal when running on well from off the pace over 7f at Wolverhampton last time and makes plenty of appeal here. A lowly mark of just 51 should be well within reach with further improvement on the cards. Chetan is a past C&D winner and might hit the frame. In terms of a danger Elusif has been running well in defeat and could put up the most resistance.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Doncaster and Chelmsford on Tuesday.
