Newbury 1.45 Precious Cargo (5/4)
Progressive novice hurdler who took well to fences winning impressively on chase debut at Haydock 25 days ago, benefitting from a wind op; likely to improve plenty for that give it was his first run for 260 days and looks an exciting prospect.
There was a lot to like about the way PRECIOUS CARGO poured it on at Haydock on his first try over the larger obstacles. His task was obviously made a great deal easier with main market rival Moonlighter unseating but even still I think he would have won. He hit the line strong and jumped Coole Well silly in the end. He should improve for that and looks a classy recruit to the chasing ranks. Champagne Platinum proved disappointing in a hot race at Cheltenham last time but should do better with that under his belt.

Wolverhampton 3.35 Ghaith (15/8)
Lightly raced Invincible Spirit gelding who showed improved form to win on stable debut over C&D last time; slammed with an 11lb rise but deservedly so and has potential to do better still; found a good opportunity to follow up.
There should be more to come from GHAITH and even with the 11lb rise he is a confident selection to come out on top again following that C&D romp last month. He wore an eye-shield for the first time that day and swept to the front around the home turn before pulling clear. Similar tactics are likely to be applied here and he has scope for further progress so is the most likely winner. That Is The Spirit remains well treated and is probably the main danger despite returning from a 151 day-break.
