NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP RUNS AT CHEPSTOW ON FRIDAY AND SHOULD PROVE TOUGH TO BEAT!
Chepstow 1.45 Getaway Fred (1/1)
Second to a subsequent winner on hurdles debut before getting off the mark impressively over two miles here in November; good third to Fred at Kempton last time and shaped as though the step up to two and half miles could be the making of him.
This step up in trip looks a good move for GETAWAY FRED who just lacked a bit of toe in the finish over two miles at Kempton last time. He is open to further improvement and could come into his own over this trip in testing conditions. His form stacks up and even more so in the context of this race. I’d make him an odds-on shot so it’s no surprise he is a mover in the market. Fado Des Brosses ran well over C&D on return in a race that’s working out fairly well and should chase the selection home.
NB – Second best selection of the day
WE HEAD TO NEWCASTLE UNDER THE LIGHTS FOR FRIDAY’S NEXT BEST!
Newcastle 5.45 Never Dark (11/10)
No Nay Never colt who was well backed on debut finishing third at Kempton; squeezed for room when trying to challenge and just lacked the experience of the front two; that looks good form and with further improvement to come he should get off the mark.
Finishing third to Brunel Charm and Al Dawodiya looks solid form in the context of this race so NEVER DARK is taken to open his account at the second time of asking. The winner that day has gone on to chase home the useful looking Stanford so the form has been boosted in my eyes. The fourth also looked unlucky at Kempton earlier this month so it stacks up. That initial experience wouldn’t have been lost on the selection and with usual improvement he should prove hard to beat as the market is reflecting.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Chepstow and Newcastle on Friday as we look to head into the weekend on a high.
