NAP – Best selection of the day

THE NAP RUNS AT MUSSELBURGH ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND LOOKS TO HAVE A GREAT CHANCE!

Musselburgh 2.40 Greaneteen (7/4)

Always had the look of a chaser so no surprise to see him take well to this discipline when beating a horse in good form in Debuchet at Ascot last month; keen enough that day and landed awkwardly 2 out so did well to win; sure to progress so obvious chance.

Paul Nicholls has his string in great form right now and he usually targets this race having won the last two renewals and he looks to have a big chance of landing the hat-trick with GREANETEEN. This expensive French recruit made a winning start over fences at Ascot and he looks to have a bright future in this sphere. The form has already worked out with the third The Flying Sofa winning gamely at Fakenham since. The selection is open to further progress and should do better especially if settling early on. Locker Room Talk arrives here chasing a hat-trick and looks the main danger but a further 5lb rise makes life tougher given he was all out to scramble home at Sandown latest.

NB – Second best selection of the day

THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT SANDOWN THIS AFTERNOON AND IS A CONFIDENT SELECTION TO GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS!

Sandown 1.15 First Flow (7/4)

Made a positive start over fences this campaign, finishing second to Summerville Boy and Angels Breath before landing the odds at Haydock; probably did too much early when third at Ascot but still a big run in defeat; good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

We were with FIRST FLOW when he finished third at Ascot and although the initial feeling was a little disappointing having been beaten it was a very good run on reflection. The winner Espoir De Guye looks a smart sort and he stuck to the task once headed. He probably did too much too soon which rather set it up for the winner. This looks a bit easier and although there is a fair bit of pace on he might be able to stamp his class on this field. He is still open to improvement over fences and should have too much with conditions also in his favour. Dolos ran well when second to Janika in the Haldon Gold Cup but failed to back that up in the Tingle Creek so has a bit to prove.
