NAP – Best selection of the day
GREANETEEN LANDED THE NAP A 7/4 WINNER YESTERDAY AND WE HEAD OVER TO IRELAND ON SUNDAY!
Leopardstown 3.00 Battleoverdoyen (2/1)
Big strong type who was always going to make a decent chaser; won his first 3 starts in good style and was always doing enough to hold off Champagne Classic here over three miles last time; more to come and drop in trip no problem.
It’s been great to see Faugheen over fences and he did well to make a winning debut at Punchestown given the error he made. He followed up beating an under-par Samcro at Limerick last time and should run his race but he’s bumping into a potentially high-class chaser here in BATTLEOVERDOYEN. The latter should jump him into submission and he has a likeable way of finding more when asked to extend. It looks between the pair but Easy Game did beat subsequent winner Allaho here after Christmas so isn’t entirely ruled out either but I’ll be very disappointed if the selection can’t make it 4-4 in this discipline.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT MUSSELBURGH ON SUNDAY AS WE LOOK TO GET BACK ON TRACK!
Musselburgh 2.15 Fred (11/4)
Improving all the time and showed that when quickening clear smartly from some useful horses to win at Kempton last time; further progress on the cards and should prove too classy for these; being targeted for the Supreme.
I’m looking forward to seeing FRED again after his stylish win at Kempton on Boxing Day. He quickened clear virtually on the bit under Barry Geraghty and is clearly a useful animal. With further improvement on the cards he looks the one to beat and I’m quite surprised to see Wild Max ahead of him in the betting. The latter is obviously a danger having made a winning start at Taunton and then followed up there last time but he lacks the experience of the selection and might just be bumping into one. Sebastopol won here yesterday so is likely to be taken out in the morning.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Musselburgh and Leopardstown on Sunday.
