Super Bowl 54 is finally here and it is setup to be a cracking game as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami.
The Chiefs have been installed as slight favourites for this game across most bookmakers due to their high powered offence however they are taking on a great defence in the 49ers.

The best pass defence in the NFL
San Francisco have the best ranked pass defence in the league allowing just 169 yards per game and give up the fewest 20+ yard plays. This will be key against a Chiefs team who don’t really have a running game.
The defensive front 4 for the niners do all the work as they rarely blitz but still manage to get home with all 4 players recording plenty of sacks each.
On the other-side of the ball the 49ers are very much a run-fast offence, rushing the ball on 75% of plays. They did this so well in both playoff games racking up over 180 yards in both games.
Mostart went off against the Packers registering 220 yards and 4 touchdowns. I fancy him to carry the load again and be good for at least one touchdown.
Will the points just keep coming for the Chiefs?
They scored 35 against the Titans and 51 against the Texans with an offence which is in my opinion the best to watch in the NFL. Mahomes and explosive receiving core can more down the field in a matter of minutes to changes games in a blink of an eye.
It will be a fascinating match-up against this defence and Mahomes will have to use his feet again to avoid getting sacked by Nick Bosa and the crew. Kansa will make it so hard for them niners as it is impossible to double all their talent so will always have options for big plays.
The Chiefs defence has improved throughout the season and they stopped Derek Henry in the championship game however Mosart is more speed than power and will be a different proposition entirely. They will need to make Jimmy G throw it much more nearer 50% of the time to win this game and even then I wouldn’t back against him pulling it out the bag.
Super Bowl verdict and bets
It is setup to be offence v defence and as is the common theme “Defences win Super Bowls” even with the amazing talent that the Chiefs have at their disposal. And it is the defence of the 49ers I will be siding with.
With the over being a big trend here I will be doubling them up. Mostart will maybe have a few less carries in this game but will still be the number one running-back and 7/2 for 2 or more TDs is a price I quite like.
It should make for a great game!
