Another winner for the Notebook yesterday as Omnivega cut through the field to win impressively at Kempton. He looks a horse to follow going forward. We stick with a likeable sort for our first tracker horse on Thursday and LICKPENNY LARRY could take a bit of catching here. He jumped rivals silly at Uttoxeter in November and was right back to form when second at Fontwell last month. He was 5 lengths clear jumping the last but was narrowly edged out in the end. The drop back in trip coupled with more aggressive tactics should see him come out on top again. Vocaliser is the main danger on form.

Improved a chunk on all known form to make a winning debut for Mick Appleby at Southwell 8 days ago; found plenty for pressure that day and a step back up to 6f looks sure to suit turned out quickly under a penalty; big shout.
Back into handicap company GARSMAN looks a good bet to follow up his impressively Southwell win. He is clearly a horse going the right way now and it’s a near certainty that there is further improvement in the locker. I expect him to have too much for Winnetka, who did run well when second to Hello Baileys at Kempton just failing to get up. A 4lb rise for that near-miss makes life tougher though so he may always be playing second fiddle. Kayat needs to settle better but is another to note after finishing second to a promising type at Newcastle earlier this week.
