NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AS MISS ELSA BOLTED UP! WE HEAD TO SOUTHWELL ON SATURDAY NIGHT!
Southwell 8.00 The Eagle’s Nest (13/8)
Unbeaten on this surface winning over C&D last month before following up back in trip 24 days ago; clearly taken well to Fibresand and obvious chance of landing the hat-trick up another 4lb; should get a good toe into this.
The NAP landed again on Friday as Miss Elsa won easily at Lingfield. We’re looking to land a four-timer on Saturday and head to Southwell under the lights. THE EAGLE’S NEST clearly thrives on this surface and looks a good bet to complete the hat-trick. I can see this panning out perfectly for him and the 13/8 should come under pressure. Palazzo is a past C&D winner and wasn’t disgraced when last seen so is a danger. At a bigger price The King’s Steed tackles this surface for the first time and might hit the frame.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST WON AGAIN ON FRIDAY AS IT’S PROBABLY ME PICKED UP WELL IN CONDITIONS TO GO CLEAR!
Lingfield 2.00 Royal Birth (15/8)
3-time C&D winner who was beaten just a neck over track and trip when last seen a week ago; won this race twice in the last four years and looks to have obvious claims again; should be a good pace to aim at which is another positive.
We head to Lingfield on Saturday as we look to land a NB four-timer and connections of ROYAL BIRTH will be hoping to land this race for the third time in the last five years. He has been a brilliant servant and comes into this bang in form given he was a close-up third at Wolverhampton and then was beaten just a neck in a Listed race over C&D only last week. Alsvinder and Verne Castle could set this up for him and I expect him to be finishing best. Top Breeze is the one I fear most.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Lingfield and Southwell on Saturday. The Daily Double is on a four-timer after 4/1, 9/2 and 7/2 winners Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
