Still learning his trade but hard not to be impressed with how he won at Wolverhampton on Friday, sweeping through to win readily; hung across to the rail and still looked green though so sure to improve as he gains experience.
Tony Carroll was interviewed on SkySportsRacing prior to LATENT HEAT running at Wolverhampton and he said the horse has plenty of ability but inexperience might cost him on the day. He ran out an impressive winner but you could definitely see that greenness when he cut through the pack and hung left-handed up the rail. The experience would have done him good and he should improve again so he’s extremely hard to oppose under a penalty. Fox Shinji looks the main danger on form.

Talented sort who improved for his run behind Sporting John to open his account at Chepstow in deep ground in January; travelled well before bumping into one last time and could easily improve again; back in trip should suit too so strong claims.
It’s been a frustrating start to March for the Notebook so hopefully we can find you a winner or two on Monday. LE CAMELEON won well over this trip at Chepstow before finishing second up in trip. This test looks ideal and he should prove hard to beat with further improvement more than likely given how lightly raced he is. Rootless Tree comes out fairly well on the figures and things didn’t go his way last time so he’d definitely have a chance if bouncing back. Esprit De Baileys is also considered.
