OUR FIRST NOTEBOOK HORSE RUNS OVER IN IRELAND TODAY!
Limerick 2.10 Scarlet And Dove (3/1)
Likeable mare who looked a horse with plenty of potential when winning her bumper here on debut; needed the experience on hurdles debut and improved to win by 7 lengths at Navan last time; up in trip which should suit and likely more to come.
This will be the hardest race SCARLET AND DOVE has tackled to date but she is very promising and with further improvement on the cards I fancy her to beat these. The extra yardage should play to her strengths and she will be looking to make it three wins from four starts. Larquebuse looks the main danger as she is also on the upgrade and skipped Cheltenham to come here. She’ll struggle to get the lead here though as there’s plenty of pace on. Well Set Up is also entitled to get involved.
Notebook Selection
Carlisle 3.35 Le Rocher (11/4)
Grade-1 winning hurdler as a juvenile and has proved a very good chaser; back from a year off to go down narrowly at Wincanton in January and ran well when third to Deise Aba at Sandown when last seen; nothing wrong with his mark so big shout here.
We head to Carlisle for our second tracker horse and LE ROCHER looks handicapped to go close in the Veterans’ Chase. He stays three miles well but doesn’t lack a change of gear and I think he can get these at it. Jepeck, Settyouatmidnight and Takingrisks could go forward so it might set it up for his style. My Old Gold looks the main danger to me as she has low mileage for her age and it might be worth forgiving her last race. Andy Holding has also put this horse up so the price is tumbling. Fingers crossed!
Notebook Double
Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
