Thrived since fitted with headgear, winning three in a row over fences before making a successful return to hurdles at Taunton last week; just 3lb higher here so should have every chance of going in again.
We stick with a horse in form for Monday’s NAP and BALLYBREEN looks to have everything in place to run another big race under Isabel Williams. He hasn’t looked back since connections reached for headgear and this looks a good bit of placement again. He might get an easy lead here too so his rivals may always be playing catch-up. Wayfinder looks the danger but he was beaten a distance at Warwick so will need to bounce back here, albeit in easier company.

Southwell 3.30 Sheshoon Sonny (11/8)
Promising sort who hasn’t quite put it together over hurdles yet but ran much better when second to Fix Sun at Market Rasen last time; that sort of form puts him bang there and with the promise of more to come he could open his account.
Down in class SHESHOON SONNY ran much better at Market Rasen last time. He should still be open to improvement and this looks a good bit of placement to finally open his account over hurdles. He ran behind Chantry House on his penultimate start so I’m expecting him to be a class above these. Exelerator Express is the danger as he won well at Doncaster and should be suited by this longer trip. Shantou Vow isn’t completely ignored but I’ll be surprised if he proves better than the front two.
