NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP RUNS AT WETHERBY THIS AFTERNOON!
Wetherby 4.20 Commodore Barry (5/4)
Only fourth at Newbury last time but found the trip too short and makes plenty of appeal here back up to 3 miles with the cheekpieces on; plenty of scope to could easily go on again and looks the one to beat in this small-field scenario.
Just a three-horse race and COMMODORE BARRY looks to have obvious claims of getting back to winning ways. He should be able to boss these and with the trip and ground in his favour he should take a fair bit of pegging back. His style suits his pilot David Bass and I expect him to get into a rhythm early before hopefully galloping them into the ground. Bobo Mac is the danger as he has been running well but does have to concede weight all round which is no easy task.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT TAUNTON THIS AFTERNOON!
Taunton 2.15 Mille Sussurri (11/8)
Ran well when third to Induno on debut in a bumper at Ffos Las; not so good next time but back on track tackling hurdles for the first time when third to Jack Valentine at Exeter latest; open to improvement now and looks to have been found a good opportunity.
Harry Fry looks to have a good chance of a winner at Taunton today in the lightly raced MILLE SUSSURRI. He showed improved form on debut over timber to finish third and with usual improvement should be going close here. This won’t take a great deal of winning and Finisher (second in the market) looks opposable. I think he was flattered by that second to Fidelio Vallis. After The Fox is probably the one who will give the selection most to think about as he should improve for jumping a hurdle.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Taunton and Wetherby on Tuesday as we look to get back on track today.
