The gelding of AKWAAN appears to have done him the world of good and should have a great chance of following up an easy win last time out. The form of that win has been franked with the horses in 3rd and 5th winning since.

The champion trainer should have a good run with this horse with improvement looking likely. The main danger in this handicap could be the solid Waqaas but he is more exposed than our selection and should be bang there in the finish.

Vaal 12:30 Siren Of Greece (6/4)

As the only filly in the field SIREN OF GREECE gets weight allowances from all of her rivals and on paper has the best form on offer as well. She was only beaten just under 2 lengths on only her 2nd run and the step up to 7 furlong should suit the Duke of Marmalade filly.

She has been popular in the market already and she should take all the beating. The main rival is likely Fire and Ice who won at Turffontein last time out however that was at 5.8 furlongs on his 5th start so you would think our filly has more scope for improvement.
