Race 8 Echuca 7.00 Echo Boomer (6/4)
Useful filly who has been knocking on the door since scoring at Benalla, finishing second the last three times; looks to have been found a good race to get her head back in front and expected to take plenty of beating.
We head to Echuca for the Aussie NAP as we look to land FIVE winners in a row and ECHO BOOMER should get her head back in front here. She has done little in defeat since winning and won’t get many better opportunities to reward connections again. Offtap made a winning debut at Warracknabeal but could only manage fourth at Donald last time. Needs more for me. Johandough is the main danger as she was last seen winning at Pakenham Park. Again I think she just lacks the quality of the favourite though.

Race 6 Albury 6.55 Milamoo (13/8)
Solid run when second at Wagga and filled the same position there last time making up good ground having got caught back in the pack; she should be hitting peak fitness now and drops 3.5kgs with the claim on that last run; big shout.
The Aussie NB runs at Albury on Monday morning and MILAMOO is expected to justify favouritism in Race 6 on the card. She ran a cracker when second last time and if a bit closer to the pace here will take a bit of stopping under Ellen Hennessy. She has only won twice in her career but won’t have faced as easier opposition as this for a while so it will be disappointing if she doesn’t get the job done. Moss The Boss is consistent and should be thereabouts. Ivy’s Belle won last time so also comes into the reckoning.
