Race 2 Pakenham 4.00 Royal Admiral (6/4)
Promising type who still has bags of potential; began awkwardly in a much tougher race than this before finishing fifth at Werribee; ran on well and will strip much fitter now; clock suggests he’ll have too much for these.
This race revolves around ROYAL ADMIRAL. He has worked home well the last twice and into calmer waters now should stamp his class on this field. He still has plenty of potential going forward so should win this before tackling better company again. He is hitting peak fitness so ticks plenty of boxes. The trip is another positive. Lady Sheilack will probably push forward and give the selection a target to aim at. She’s shown ability though so should be thereabouts at the finish.

Race 5 Northam 7.55 The Italian Job (6/4)
Progressive type who proved a cut above when running out an impressive winner at Belmont earlier this month; dominated the opposition and readily put it to bed; this doesn’t look much harder so obvious chance of following up.
We head to Northam for our second best bet of the day Down Under on Monday and THE ITALIAN JOB looks poised to go in again and make it two wins from his first four starts. He showed plenty when making the breakthrough last time and clearly has a big engine. He was well backed and certainly didn’t disappoint. That was his first run for over four months too so he will improve physically. A lot to like. Starof Bonnie Rose was too keen last time and if he settles better should at least put up some resistance.
