Race 3 Cessnock 4.10 Daltoro (1/1)
Overraced in the early stages on debut but showed plenty of promise to finish third at Scone over 1000m; sure to improve from that initial effort and lots to like here so a strong chance to make the breakthrough; likely to be a warm order.
The Aussie NAP landed on Monday so we’ll be looking to make it 2-2 this week and side with DALTORO at Cessnock. He is a good looking chestnut who showed there was plenty to work on finishing second on debut. He has plenty of ability and should prove too strong for this field. There’s a strong pace on here by the looks of it so that should help him settle early before looking to sweep past. Most likely winner for me.

Race 5 Bundaberg 6.27 Crisscross (5/4)
Useful type who has done little wrong recently finishing second the last three times since winning over C&D in April; denied just half a length last time in a better race so obvious claims of going one better back in this company.
Our second best bet Down Under runs in Race 5 at Bundaberg in the early hours of Tuesday morning. CRISSCROSS has run to a consistent level since winning over this track and trip and ticks plenty of boxes in this field. He has a 3kg claimer on today which could just give him that little bit extra to return to winning ways. Windquest won twice before blundering the starts last time and would be a danger if bouncing back from that. Hard to see much else getting involved but Mia Singa isn’t completely ruled out.
