Last seen staying on strongly to win the Grade 1 Curlin Florida Derby at Gulfstream in March, asserting impressively in the closing stages; looks a colt going places and fully expected to win again.
Can’t wait to see the beast that is TIZ THE LAW again at Belmont tonight. He is a thoroughly progressive individual who was last seen slamming the opposition in the Florida Derby in March and with the promise of even more to come he is a confident selection to go in again. I can’t see what beats him? Sole Volante is probably the each way angle in the race as he impressed last time but his form is nowhere near as strong as the selection so hard to see him troubling him.

Race 1 Santa Anita 8.30 Count Alexei (6/5)
Promising colt who caught the eye finishing second on debut, denied just a head; he showed bright speed early and tried to dominate before getting run down in the final few strides; he looks sure to improve from that initial effort and should go one better.
We head to Santa Anita for the Next Best Stateside tonight and COUNT ALEXEI looks a great bet to go one better here. He had second favourite here Utalknboutpractice back in fourth when second on debut and will confirm that form with further improvement to come. Struggling to see dangers from anything else so that should be the formline that plays out here. He was 13/8 initially but that was quickly snapped up (I even missed that price). 6/5 is still backable though. Should be odds-on!
